About the Artist
Jose Andres Diaz is a multitalented artist with 25 years' experience in a wide spectrum of mediums. As a 3rd generation painter, he learned the fundamentals of house painting from his father at an early age. Precision and attention to detail were always emphasized in his training, and are cornerstones of his work today.
His artistic mind and openness to explore has lead Jose to work with a variety of mediums such as, painting, glass blowing, chalk art, lasering, and more. This has lead to working with a wide spectrum of customers including interior designers, contractors, businesses, organizers, and more.
Not one to stay idle, Jose is constantly looking for new ways to implement his ideas in an artistic way. As One Art is the culmination of Jose's artistic journey creating works that delight and inspire people.
Painting and Faux Finishing
Jose utilized a strong painting foundation to start faux finishing and painting murals. From 2004 to 2006, he apprenticed with gallery artists, Christine Quinn and Ken Thompson, to learn the details of the craft.
Living in the Greater Palm Springs Area of California, Jose worked with many interior designers and gained extensive experience with glazing, venetian plaster, and Trompe L'oile finish.
He has worked in locations as far off as India and Italy, as well as locally in multiple country club estates. In collaborating with interior designers and clients, Jose learns about their ideas and brings their vision to life.
He has created murals for Coachella Music Festival, in collaboration with Raices Cultura, Electric Daisy Carnival, Joshua Tree Music Festival, and Tim Bradley, World Boxing Champion.
Borosilicate Glass Art
In 2015, Jose took a class in borosilicate glass flame work and was instantly hooked. This medium allowed him to incorporate his drawing and painting skills in a way that would provide an artistic challenge.
This art form requires propane and oxygen gasses to melt the borosilicate gas and allow the artist to manipulate it's form. Once completed, it is annealed at a high temperature. In this art form, Jose enjoys exploring the nature of glass and mixture of colors.
Currently, Jose is focusing on creating wearable pendants and functional art, such as sherlock pipes.
Laser Engraving
Laser engraving and graphic design have been a huge part of Jose's art career and work experience. Over the last three years, Jose worked with an Epilog Fusion Pro laser engraver to create reliable and consistent products.
With the laser engraver, he is able to utilize his collective art skills for product development and prototype design. Jose enjoys developing new products from scratch and the challenge of taking an idea and making it a reality.

Jose collaborates with artist and master sewer, Luke White, to create one of kind, hand painted garments.
He also upcycles clothing by adding a unique flare through tie dye, air brushing, and hand painting.
